Don’t Look Back can be a pretty tricky game, but unlike Flywrench, this one is pattern-based and so is MUCH easier. As I was playing through the game a second time, I decided to record the tips and tricks for how I cleared each section. Check it out if you get stuck on a particular spot. I’m also open to questions!

Don’t give up here! It’s only the first obstacle! This trick will get you past several enemies later on. The other good technique is to just stand there and shoot everything before moving forward. Saves you in many a pinch!
The first tricky screen.
Don’t worry if you happen to miss the platform the first time you enter the screen – the game is forgiving and will respawn you on the platform. Seems the requirement is simply to enter the room, which is nice.
Ahh, Cerberus, guardian of Hell. He’s got to be shot in the back. The first two times, you can stand in front of him and he’ll leap over you. Turn and shoot him in the back. The third, you have to stand a ways back and jump RIGHT before he lands. Turn quickly and shoot him in the back.
Actually, this little demon guy makes either a small hop or a big one. If he does a small hop, you can’t run under him, but if it’s a big leap, you can. I just tried running under him until he jumped high enough. He does it maybe 30% of the time.
If you’ve played practically any Mega Man game, this part should be a cinch!
Uh-oh! More of these guys! Take out the one on the bottom first. It’s kind of tricky, but be patient. Use this trick of shooting things as soon as you fall past them to get an early hit on the second demon.
Ah, the Demon King, Hades himself. This guy takes a LOT of luck and cunning to beat. Thankfully, you can get two shots off him easy at the start, the first by shooting as you fall and the second by jumping and shooting right before the platform disappears. There’s also a safe spot in the lower-right so you can catch your breath.
EEW! He exploded into a puddle of blood! Careful of those stalactites! Thankfully, you can just walk forward under them and they won’t hit you.
The end? But wait! Now you have to bring her OUT of Hades!
Don’t look back! If you hit the right arrow, you’ll take one look at her shade and she’ll disintegrate!
This trick works on pretty much any electric barrier.
Aside from Hades, this is probably the hardest puzzle. It took me forever my first time through. Once you know the pattern though, it’s a cinch!
Seriously, this is what you do with EVERY stalactite you run into!
This is the last really hard puzzle. Once you get through this, it’s all downhill from here! If you get stuck, just use method 2. MUCH simpler.
This one is also tricky; you just have to time it right. Whatever you do, don’t miss the first jump or you’ll never be able to grab the rope.
The final obstacle! Don’t let those platforms get ya!
And that’s the end, folks!
